What’s Next for Tyson?

After the humiliating knockout on February, Don King tried to claim that there was a long count in the 8th round when Tyson dropped Douglas with a right uppercut. King claimed that the count actually reached 13, and that Tyson had knocked Buster out first, and should still be the champion.

By the time the Tyson came reached America, his claims fell on deaf ears and ‘Iron’ Mike had to pick up the pieces and start over.

His first time back in the ring was on June 16th in Las Vegas against a joke of an opponent in Henry Tillman. Tyson disposed of him with a glancing right hand off his forehead in the first round, convincing some that he was back.

He didn’t fight again until December when he knocked out Alex Stewart in Atlantic City in another one round mismatch. His days as an HBO fighter ended with that fight since his contract expired, and he planned to move on as a Showtime fighter in 1991.
