My Top 5 Boxing Venues

This is My List of Boxing’s Top 5 Venues

      1. Caesar’s Palace; Las Vegas, Nevada. The Sports Pavilion and the Outdoor Arena at Caesar’s Palace have both been the host to many of boxing’s biggest bouts over the years, and I have had the privilege of attending fights in both.
      2. Madison Square Garden; New York, New York. The Garden has had many versions built over the years, and each one has been the site of huge events. The biggest of all being the March 8, 1971 Super-Fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.
      3.  MGM Grand Garden Arena; Las Vegas, Nevada. Even though it’s first boxing card was on January 29, 1994, it has been the host to a tremendous number of huge boxing events since. I personally have been to see many fights in person there, including the November 9, 1996 bout between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield.
      4.  Atlantic City Convention Hall; Atlantic City, New Jersey. Convention Hall became the site of huge boxing events in the 1980’s, and was given a 95 million dollar makeover in the late 90’s, making it far more modern and pleasant to the fans. Having grown up in south Jersey, I have been to the now Boardwalk Hall a bunch of times to see fights, and you can sense the history as soon as you walk into the building.
      5. Hilton; Las Vegas, Nevada. Both the Hilton Center and the Outdoor Arena at the International Hilton off the strip in Las Vegas have been the site of many historic bouts, including the February 15, 1978 upset of Leon Spinks over Muhammad Ali.
