The 5 Best Chins in Boxing History

This is My List of the 5 Best Chins in Boxing History.

  1. Marvin Hagler. Marvin Hagler was middleweight champion for nearly 7 years, and was never off of his feet. A slip against Juan Roldan in March of 1984 was falsely ruled a knockdown, but to me cements the fact that he had the best chin of any fighter that ever lived.
  2. George Chuvalo. The rugged, tough slugger from Canada, faced every heavyweight there was during his career, and never touched the canvas. An amazing fact for the fighter with second best chin in boxing history.
  3. Muhammad Ali. While ‘The Greatest’ was dropped several times during his 20 year long career, he was never even close to being knocked out. His great chin was also his downfall, since he would lay on the ropes in training and let his sparring partners pummel him with blows. To me, Muhammad Ali had the third best chin in boxing history.
  4. Rocky Marciano. While ‘The Brockton Block-Buster’ was dropped a few times in his undefeated career, he was never seriously hurt, and that makes his chin the fourth best in boxing history to me.
  5. Julio Cesar Chavez’s tremendous career record of 107-68-2, with 86 knockouts, is remarkable for another reason. He only was knocked down once, by Frankie Randall in January of 1994, and that puts him in my top 5 of the greatest chins in boxing history.
