This is My List of My 5 Toughest Fighters
- Muhammad Ali. The self proclaimed “Greatest of all Time” retired in 1981 as the 3-time heavyweight champion of the world, and only lost one fight by TKO, his 1980 loss to Larry Holmes
- Sonny Liston. Charles ‘Sonny’ Liston was street rough and tough as could be, and would have remained the heavyweight champion throughout the entire decade of the 1960’s if if weren’t for the emergence of Muhammad Ali.
- 3.Mike Tyson. Tyson showed his grit and determination during his first reign on terror from November 1986 through February 1990. After serving 3 years in prison, he regained the title against Frank Bruno on March 16, 1996. After his two losses to Evander Holyfield, Tyson cracked under the pressure and never won the championship again.
- Marvin Hagler. The best middleweight champion in history, also had the best chin in boxing history.. His seven year title reign ended with his 1987 loss to Sugar Ray Leonard, but it doesn’t detract from the fact that he was one of boxing’s all-time best.
- Roberto Duran. ‘Manos de Piedra’ was as mean and nasty as they come, but would never admit defeat, no matter the fight. His granite chin was only cracked once when he was knocked out by Thomas Hearns in two rounds in 1984.
